Who is the Creep standing behind those verifying my ID?

Description

I went to my polling place at Washington Reid Elementary School, Dumfries,
VA and when I gave my ID and Voter registration card, I noticed this
gentleman, who was sitting behind them, stand up and come forward and look
over their shoulder, he then was either taking a picture or putting
something in his cellphone.I watched him and he was doing it for many
people. So I asked one of the volunteers who he was and what he was doing?
Was he copying my information? my address or license number? I was told he
was a member of the Republican Party! So is he allowed to take my personal
identifiable data and put it into his own phone without my consent? Is he
allowed to indicate one way or another if I voted? The person in charge
there told me I had the right to confront him. I did. I asked him who he
was and if he had taken a picture of my data? He said he was with the
Republican party. I asked again if he took any of my information? He said
he had a program from the registrar and he was just annotating who had
voted. I told him I wanted my information erased as I did not give him
permission to do that and he said it was on an app on his phone and he could
not erase it. This really makes me feel like they are being shady. Can
they do this? I am so ticked as I feel this is beyond observing a process to
make sure everything was in compliance.
